The American Made Rodeo Drill Team

The Official Drill Team of The REQ!

\We are the American Made Rodeo Drill Team from Olympia, WA. We have been performing together since 1998. We are a fast-paced ladies drill team that travels to rodeos and parades around the Northwest. We proudly wear & carry the patriotic colors of red, white & blue.

The team practices weekly at The Trails End Arena in Olympia, Washington. We practice February through October in order keep our performances professional and entertaining. While our schedule usually consists of rodeos and parades, we like to tackle a big challenge every couple of years.

Our accomplishments are many for our few years of existence:

  • 2006 Reno Rodeo Mixed Divisional Champions
  • 2006 Tumwater Parade & Lakefair Parade 1st prize
  • 2005 PRCA Puyallup Fair Rodeo
  • 2004 Western States Drill Team Competition in Reno, NV.

In 2003, we competed at the 2nd Annual Cow Palace Challenge and won 1st in our division! Also in 2003 we attended the following parades & took 1st Place in every event: Shelton Forest Festival, Portland Rose Festival, Tumwater 4th of July, Lakefair Parade, Seafair Torch Light Parade, Puyallup Fair Parade, Olympia Christmas Parade, Chehalis Christmas Parade & Montesano Festival of Lights Parade.

In 2002 we entered the 1st Annual Cow Palace Challenge and were selected as the Over-All Grand Champions, this was a special win as it enabled us to perform in the Grand National Rodeo in the Cow Palace in front of a packed crowd of 10,000 spectators. What a thrill!! In 2000 we competed at the EquiDance 2000 Musical Ride Competition at the Calgary Stampede where we placed 2nd in our division out of 20 teams from Canada & the United States. We have also performed at the opening ceremony at the Bullrider's Only Series held at the Tacoma Dome.

We helped ramrod The REQ Center bill through the 2007 legislature, and the picture at right shows us at the bill signing ceremony with Governor Gregoire, Rep. Gary Alexander, and Sen. Marilyn Rasmussen.
